Advertiser Disclosure
Last updated: May 18, 2026
SortMyLoan.com ("SortMyLoan," "we," "us," or "our") operates as a loan-matching service. To help you understand how we earn money and how that may influence which lenders appear on our website, we provide this Advertiser Disclosure.
How SortMyLoan Earns Money
SortMyLoan is compensated by lenders and lending partners in our network for connecting them with consumers who submit loan requests through our website. Compensation may take several forms, including:
- Per-lead fees — a fixed or variable fee paid when we share your application with a lender
- Per-funded-loan fees — a fee paid only when a lender funds a loan based on a lead we shared
- Click-based fees — fees paid when consumers click through to a lender's website
- Tiered or performance-based compensation — payments that may vary based on lead quality, conversion rates, or other criteria
How Compensation May Affect What You See
Our compensation arrangements may influence:
- Which lenders we share your application with. When you submit a loan request, your application is shared with lenders in our network based on a combination of factors including your eligibility for each lender's products, the loan amount and type you requested, your state of residence, and the compensation arrangements we have with each lender.
- The order in which lender offers are presented. If you receive multiple offers, the order in which they appear may be influenced by our compensation arrangements with each lender.
- Which products or offers are highlighted on our website. We may give greater visibility to lenders or products that compensate us at higher rates.
What This Means for You
Our compensation does not change the terms or interest rate a lender offers you. Loan terms are determined solely by the lender based on their own underwriting criteria, not by SortMyLoan. We always recommend that you:
- Carefully review and compare any loan offers you receive
- Read all disclosures provided by the lender before accepting any loan
- Compare the APR (which includes fees and interest) of each offer
- Consider your ability to repay before borrowing
- Explore alternatives — including loans from credit unions, banks, or family members — before accepting a high-cost loan
Editorial Independence
Our educational content — including guides, comparisons, glossary, and calculators — is written to inform consumers about lending concepts and is not influenced by compensation from any specific lender. We aim to provide accurate, useful information regardless of which lender might benefit from a particular article.
Not a Lender
SortMyLoan is not a lender and does not make credit decisions. We do not approve loans, determine loan terms, or service loans. Each lender in our network independently evaluates loan applications and determines whether to extend an offer and on what terms.
Loan Availability
Not all loan products are available in all states. State law affects which lenders can operate in a given state, what interest rates can be charged, what loan amounts are available, and what other terms apply. See our State Disclosures page for information about loan availability in specific states.
