Your Privacy Rights
Last updated: May 18, 2026
Depending on the state you live in, you have rights with respect to the personal information SortMyLoan.com ("SortMyLoan," "we," "us," or "our") collects about you. Use the form below to exercise any of those rights. We respond to all verifiable requests within 45 days, and acknowledge receipt within 15 business days.
Your Rights
You may have the following rights, depending on the state where you reside:
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing — Direct SortMyLoan to stop sharing your personal information with lenders and other third parties.
- Right to Know — Request information about the personal information we have collected about you, the sources from which we collected it, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to Delete — Request that we delete personal information we collected about you, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Right to Correct — Request that we correct inaccurate personal information about you.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — Direct us to limit our use of sensitive information (such as Social Security number, financial account details) to specified purposes.
About Sale or Sharing
Loan generation is categorically considered a "sale" of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA and similar laws because SortMyLoan shares your information with lenders in exchange for compensation. If you exercise your right to opt out, we will stop sharing your information with lenders for any new loan request. This means we cannot provide our matching service to you, but you can still use our educational content.

Alternative Ways to Submit a Request
If you prefer not to use the online form, you may also submit a privacy rights request by:
- Email: info@sortmyloan.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request"
Please include your name, email, phone number, and the rights you wish to invoke. We may contact you to verify your identity before fulfilling the request.
Authorized Agent
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. The authorized agent must provide signed written permission from you authorizing them to act on your behalf, and we may also contact you directly to verify the request.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
SortMyLoan honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a Do Not Sell or Share opt-out. If your browser sends the GPC signal when you visit our site, we treat it as an opt-out for that browser session and for any submissions made during it.
Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Exercising your rights will not result in denial of services or different pricing, except where the difference is reasonably related to the value provided to us by your data — for example, opting out of sale means we cannot share your information with lenders, so we cannot match you with loan offers.
Response Timeline
- Acknowledgment: within 15 business days of receiving your request
- Response: within 45 calendar days of receiving a verifiable request (may be extended an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, with notice)
Verification
Before we can act on your request, we must verify your identity. This typically involves matching the information you provide in this request to information in our records. If we cannot verify your identity from the information provided, we may ask for additional information or refuse to act on the request, in compliance with applicable law.
